Tsunami occurrence in XX century
Some statistics of global tsunamigenic events in the XX century (digits in parentheses show the data for the Pacifc). Among 911 case of "observable" tsunamis occurred in the World Ocean during 1901-2000, only 252 were "perceptible" (having run-up value more than 1 meter). Only in 96 cases run-up was greater 5 meter ("damageable" tsunamis).
