May 1-3, 2008 Siberian Scientific Conference in Tomsk

• Siberian Scientific Conference in Tomsk in commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Tunguska Impact and 50the Anniversary of Complex Amateur Expedition. The conference is organized by the Tomsk State University and will be held in the Tomsk Planetarium.

• The Conference is organized by Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute for Dynamics of Geospheres Lomonosov Moscow State University, Sternberg Astronomical Institute, Institute of Mechanics and Meteorite Committee of Russian Academy of Sciences and will be held in the RAS building (Leninsky Prospekt, 32à)

• The conference is organized by the Administration of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Siberian Division of Russian Academy of Sciences (SD RAS), Institute of Computational Modeling of SD RAS, Institute of Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Geophysics of SD RAS, Committee on Meteorites of RAS, Museum of Geology of the Central Siberia. The conference will be followed by the filed excursion to the site of the impact (Vanavara – Zaimka Kulika) to be held on July 3-6, 2008

• Two-day Holocene Impact Working Group (HIWG) Workshop is planned for June 26-27, 2008 in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. The main focus of the workshop will be to discuss the progress achieved in 2007-2008 in HIWG projects implementation and plans for future research and expeditions. This meeting will be held in Krasnoyarsk Scientific Center located in Akademgorodok some 10 km south of Krasnoyarsk, will be hosted by the Institute of Computational Modeling, Siberian Division, Russian Academy of Sciences.
